Carlinville School Board Makes Multiple Employment Decisions and Student Handbook Changes

The Board reviewed the district mission statement, which is “Carlinville CUSD#1 will provide a comprehensive educational program for all students in a safe environment supporting and inspiring learners of today, while fostering global leaders of tomorrow.” In addition, the Board reviewed the belief statements and the district goals.
Registration and Start of School Activities
The 2026-27 school year registration has started on July 16 and goes until July 29. In addition, there are different activities planned for each school. Carlinville Primary School events start the week of July 27 with grade-level meetings. The week of August 3 will be the K-2 open houses, where the teachers at the different grade levels will reach out to every family and schedule a time to come in. August 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. will be the Pre-K meet and greet stations. Mrs. Wills’ and Mrs. Whitworth’s classes will meet from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Mrs. Genetti’s class will meet from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Families will meet with Mrs. Vacca for a general informational meeting, then meet with the teachers in the classrooms, and stop in the office for paperwork purposes.
