The Carlinville Public Library has been named the 2026 Community Partner Award recipient by the University of Illinois Extension in Macoupin County. The library was recognized for its continued support of Extension programming and commitment to youth education.
For the past five years, the library has partnered with the Extension to host youth programs and educational events, providing learning opportunities for residents of all ages. Together, the organizations have offered STEAM nights, summer reading activities, terrarium workshops, themed events, and other hands-on programs.
“What sets the Carlinville Public Library apart is its cooperative spirit and genuine commitment to meeting community needs,” said Kate Harding, 4-H youth development program coordinator. “The staff consistently bring innovative ideas, high-quality programming, and a welcoming attitude to every partnership.”
The University of Illinois Extension serves Christian, Jersey, Macoupin, and Montgomery counties. Each year, the Extension Council awards a community partner throughout the four counties in recognition and gratitude for their service to the Extension.
