Carlinville prepares to celebrate Super Summer Weekend

Carlinville will have its most action-packed weekend of the year on Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25. They will feature a concert, car show, Chalk It Up, street entertainment on Daley Street Alley, and the Flotilla parade.

Band Concert and Ice Cream Social

On Friday, at the gazebo on the square, the Rotary Club will host its ice cream social at 6 pm, and the Carlinville Municipal Band will play at 7 p.m.

Car Show and Chalk It Up

On Saturday, the car show will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with trophies at 2 p.m. Chalk It Up on the square will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the day, there will be various events, such as musicians performing at different locations.

Flotilla Parade

With the hot weather, most everyone will be excited to experience the Flotilla Parade. This parade will start at 3 p.m. at Blackburn College, go down College Street, and turn onto East Main Street.
