Mary V. Cavanaugh

Mary V. Cavanaugh, 74, of Gillespie, IL, died at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center, Gillespie, IL on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 12:12 am.  She was born September 9, 1951, in Litchfield, IL to Harry M. Cavanaugh & Barbara “Bibs” Fuderich Cavanaugh.  She was an administrative assistant for the Illinois State Police of Litchfield, IL.  Mary was a graduate of Gillespie High School Class of 1969.  She is survived by her daughters, Jamie (Tyson Wagner) Chapman of Freeburg, IL, Mindy Jenkins of Edwardsville, IL, granddaughters, Madyx Whaley, Dallas Jenkins, Naveah Chapman, sister, Ann (Dave) Bedinger of Denton, TX, brothers, Harry (Pat) Cavanaugh, Michael (Anne) Cavanaugh and former husband, James Davis of Gillespie, IL.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents.  Friends may call on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 9:30 am until 11:30 am.  Memorial mass will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at SS Simon & Jude Church in Gillespie at 12:00 pm.  Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie, IL.  Memorials are suggested to Partnership For Educational Excellence District #7 PO BOX 125, Gillespie, IL 62033.  Anyone wishing to send an online condolence may do so at www.kravanyafuneral.com.  Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
