The Carlinville Municipal Band announced their concert dates. Monday May 25 will be the Memorial Day Concert at the American Legion at 7:00 p.m. Sunday June 14 will be the Flag Day Concert on the Square at 7:00 p.m. Friday June 26 will be a concert at the Court House at 6:30 p.m. Fridays July 3 and July 17 will be 7:00 p.m. concerts on the square. Friday July 24 will be the Rotary Ice Cream Concert at 7:00 p.m.
Public Comment
Monday January 26, Bobbi Bates hosted a meeting where she talked about the Community Vision Survey Results. More information is available on the Carlinville City Hall website and also in the Enquirer Democrat paper.
New Business
The City Council held a public hearing to vacate portions of an alley. Compensation from the property owner to the City is inappropriate. The City is following the Ordinance of Vacating an Alley. They are looking at part of Lot 10 of Robertson, Burton and others addition to the City of Carlinville.
The Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) is looking at replacing the non-potable skid style pumps. The City will remove the old pumps which will save the City more money. The new pumps will be purchased from PumpMan and installed by Loellke Plumbing for the total cost of $32,114.00. The board approved the purchase and installation of the pumps.
