Macoupin County Historical Society held fundraiser

Macoupin County Historical Society hosted a Chicken Dinner fundraiser on Aug. 27.  People could choose to drive through or dine under the Red Barn Pavilion listening to  live local music.  The meal included a fried chicken breast, mashed potatoes with milk gravy and green beans.  People starting showing up at least 20 minutes before the start time of  4 p.m. and sold out before 5:30 p.m. with 320 chicken dinners sold at $10 each.

Live local music was provided by a group of musicians that came together with the sole purpose of just to have fun and play.  Some of the musicians included Mary Tinder, Dan St. Onge, Greg Vocks, Charlie Wayman and Larry Moreau.
