The Commencement Exercises for the Carlinville Class of 2025 were held May 25 in the Carlinville High School Gymnasium.

The gym was filled to maximum capacity with family and friends.

Led by junior marshals Taylor Brandenburg, Elyse Eldred, Riley Owsley, Bailey Rodgers and Hannah Truax, the seniors entered the gym as the CHS band played “Fanfare and Processional” conducted by Lane Harmon, CHS band director. Once everyone was in their seats, the band played the “Star Spangled Banner” and the school song.

The CHS Choir, which included the senior members, sang “Homeward Bound,” a special song for the graduating class.

The choir was also conducted by Harmon.

Colin Pope, the Class President and Honor Graduate gave the Welcome Address. The other Honor Graduates who each gave an Address included Mason Gilpin, who is Class Vice President, Weston Kuykendall, Lillian McCurley, Joanna Roemer and Samuel Wilson. Each of the speakers spoke of their experience in school and their encouragement to their classmates for a great future.
