Alice Turner

Alice Turner, 71, of Carlinville, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO.
Alice was born Oct. 27, 1953, in Springfield, a daughter of Alvin and Eva (Challander) Turner.
Alice attended Macoupin Center for the Developmentally Disabled and the Illinois Valley Rehab Center in Gillespie.
She loved coffee, any type of coffee was her favorite, from cold to hot. She loved going to the coffee shop and getting some to drink. She also loved cats, trying her best to find time to go out and pet some. Her favorite place to go was Hawthorn.
She lived in a CILA home at Locust Street Resource Center for nearly 40 years.
Alice is survived by her siblings, Charles Turner, of IL, Melvin Turner, of St. Louis, MO, Betty Freytag of Alton, Ralph Turner of Houston, TX, Shirley Elkins of Brookland, AR., Bonnie (Albert) Granger of Brookland, AR, Renee Joe of SD, Roxanne Sitzes of IL; several nieces and nephews; caregivers, Heather Rose, Kim Allison, Baylee Schwehr, Courtney Robinson, Kristie Mitchell, Julie Ogden, Pam Bell, Cori Borror, Kristen Beichler; staff at MCDD and IVRC.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Amanda Turner.
Graveside Services will be Friday, Feb. 7, 2025 at 1 p.m. with burial in Carrollton City Cemetery, Carrollton.
