Dave M. Wiles

Dave M. Wiles unexpectedly passed away on the afternoon of May 19, 2026. It was only a few short weeks after the passing of the love of his life that David followed her home.
“Lumpy” to good friends, “Dad” to his children, and “Papa” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A skill collector by nature, and a genuine artisan of all sorts. He was intelligent, talented, determined, and endlessly curious about the world around him.
Throughout his life, Dave pursued a plethora of interests with intensity and purpose, truly defining passion. Whatever captured his interest, he immersed himself completely. Whether it was music, fishing, hunting, racing, or any of the countless hobbies he explored over the years, he would seek out the best tools or equipment, master every detail he could learn, and dedicate himself fully.
What truly set Dave apart was the incredible range of skills and talents he carried with him. He was a natural craftsman whose abilities and creativity seemed nearly endless. From plumbing and electrical work to welding and fabrication, sheet metal, carpentry, to gun smithing and intricate wood carving – just to name a few – David had a gift for working with both his hands and his mind. He was a thinker who could build, repair, create, and improve almost anything he set his mind to.
David is survived by his son, Chad Neunaber; daughter, Emily Neunaber; grandchildren, Elly Neunaber, Anita Neunaber, Chad (Jocey) Neunaber Jr., Madyson Lair, Hannah (Sam) Baltzglier, and Lauren Lambert; six great-grandchildren and two twins on the way.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Sox Wiles and by his wife, Lorie Wiles.
There will be a celebration of life for David at a later date.
