HS boys’ basketball: Staunton dominates Mt. Olive

The Staunton High School boys’ basketball team annihilated the Mt. Olive Wildcats on home hardwood Jan. 16.

The Bulldogs, the top overall seed in this year’s county tournament, showed their neighbors why as they rolled to a 67-14 victory.
Staunton rebounded from a tough 48-39 loss at Civic Memorial and improved to 14-4 on the season.

Mt. Olive plummeted to 4-12 overall.

The Bulldogs and Wildcats are currently competing at the Macoupin County Tournament. Coverage will be featured in next week’s issue.
