Candidates for County School Boards in the 2025 Consolidated Election announced

The consolidated election will be held April 1, 2025. Candidates are still being certified with the Macoupin County Clerk’s office.

The School Board Candidates throughout the county are already certified, here’s a list of who is running:

In the Carlinville School District Seth Roberts, Andrew Johnson, Johnathan Truax and Kyle Bradley are on the ballot. Voters can vote on up to three candidates.

The Northwestern candidates are Kara Cox, Brock Campbell and Lisa Meisenheimer.

Two candidates are running in the Mt. Olive School District, Lindsey Knes and Blake Bertels.

Staunton candidates are Poonam Jain, Robert Leitz and John Renner. There is also a two year unexpired term that has no candidates running to fill the position.

For Gillespie, current board members Peyton Bernot and Dennis Tiburzi are seeking re-election.

In Bunker Hill, Lindsey Kahl, Jennifer Daniel, Jamie Payne and Jonathan Burris are running. Voters may choose up to three candidates. Brandon Rull is running for the two-year unexpired opening.

The Southwestern School District has three candidates in Donna Loy, Brad Schuchman and Jenny Hanks.

In the North Mac district, voters can vote for Andrew Webb in District 2, Jeremy White for the two-year unexpired term in District 3 and Jodi Alexander in District 4. No candidate has filed for District 5.
