Carlinville ACES Wins Regional

Carlinville High School’s Academic Challenge team (formerly WYSE), emerged victorious in its division at the regional competition hosted by CHS at Blackburn College.

Individual place winners were Riley Owsley first place in Math and English; Brendon Atterberry first place in Chemistry and third place in Biology; Bailey Rodgers second place in Biology; Annalee Johns first place in Computer Science; Houston Turley:  second place in Computer Science; Gabby Stoops first place in Physics and Danielle Furness third place in Physics.

Team members are Brendon Atterberry, Maddie Boente, Taylor Brandenburg, Charlee Dugger, Danielle Furness, Annalee Johns, Carter Joiner, Marleigh Konneker, Madeline Murphy, Riley Owsley, Madalyn Quarton, Bailey  Rodgers, Gabrielle Stoops, Avery Troutwine, Houston Turley and Lucas Wieties.

The team is coached by Jason Crowell, Darrin DeNeve, Ethan Klaffer and Paul Smith.
