At the Annual ribbon cutting to begin the long-awaited Christmas weekend in 62626, Mayor Doug Downey reflected on the recent passing of Debbie Zilm, a beloved Carlinville entrepreneur whose energy and generosity will be sorely missed. Debbie’s entrepreneurial spirit lives on through the two thriving businesses she founded, and her long-standing dedication to Christmas in Carlinville where she volunteered tirelessly for many years.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, her husband Andy Zilm had the honor of cutting the ribbon in her memory.
