Daniel “Danny” Robert Duncan Sr.

Daniel “Danny” Robert Duncan Sr., 64, of Carlinville, IL, passed away on Sunday evening, November 30, 2025, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Danny was born March 5, 1961, in Carlinville, IL, a son of Robert F. and Patricia F. (Rosentreter) Duncan.
Danny graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1979.
He married Cindy Mosher on May 14, 2021, at the Anderson Mansion in Carlinville.
Danny was a truck driver, he retired on November 17, 2025. His last few years before retirement were spent working for Steward trucking. He was a very accomplished driver, having driven over 4 million miles without a single accident. He worked for Lonny Rhodes for seven years during harvest.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 916 in Springfield, IL. He was also a member of the Moose Club 1216.
Danny had several hobbies like collecting John Deere tractor toys, listening to classic rock music, riding motorcycles, feeding hummingbirds in the summer and visiting his family.
Danny is survived by his wife, Cindy McClain-Duncan of Carlinville, IL; daughter, Dawn Duncan of Mobile, AL; seven bonus children, Kierstynne Kulenkamp of Granite City, IL, Kelsey (Kevin Lewey) Plozizka of Litchfield, IL, Alex (Summer Johnson) Wood of Gillespie, IL, Aiden Wood of Carlinville, IL, Alistair (Layla Edan) Wood of Gillespie, IL, Kristopher Wood of Carlinville, IL, and Kaen Wood of Carlinville, IL; seven grandchildren; brother, David (Sara Range) Duncan of Carlinville, IL; sister, Lori (Mike) Schmidt of Carlinville, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Daniel R. Duncan, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 5:00 pm, Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on May 23, 2026 at his residence. There will be more information at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Anderson Mansion and the Macoupin County Historical Society.
