Two High School Golf members went to State
Greenfield – Northwestern Golf Team member Ty Bowman.
Carlinville High School Golf Team member Carter Zilm.
Carlinville High School Golf Team member Carter Zilm is State Bound after shooting a four over par 76. Zilm earner himself a top five finish at sectionals.
Zilm shot a 79 (+7) for his round, which landed him in the top ten overall at the Jacksonville Country Club Sectional. Carter’s round was almost identical to his play at conference last week- 8 over par after 8 holes, and then played the rest of the round at -1.
Zilm advances out of regionals, scores in the top five at sectionals to advance to the State Golf meet in Bloomington, where he finished in top fifty of all golfers
Greenfield-Northwestern Golf Team member Ty Bowman makes an up and down par save on #18 to shoot a 71 (-1) to secure the top spot at the Jacksonville Country Club Sectional. He finishes the day as the outright winner of the 112 individuals who teed it up.
Bowman finishes the day one under, to sign a scorecard in red numbers for the first time in his career on an 18 hole course.
At the State Golf meet in Bloomington Bowman finished 41 out of 112 golfers at 11 over.
