Patsy Belle Scroggins

Patsy Belle Scoggins, 88, of Carlinville, passed awauy at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025 at 7:49 a.m.  She was born May 15, 1937 in Carrollton, to Frank Goodman and Annabelle Vandergriff Goodman.

 

She married Stanley B. Scoggins on Nov. 8, 1958 in Creve Coeur.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2024.

 

She was a receptionist and customer service manager/cashier.

 

Patsy enjoyed attending church functions, going to yard sales, thrifting and motorcycle riding.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Patti (Mike) Janssen of Carlinville; grandchildren, Tara (Justin) Snyder, Faron (Joseph) Bomkamp; great-grandchildren, Henley Bomkamp, Addley Bomkamp, Kora Snyder, Londyn Snyder; siblings, Terry Goodman of Carlinville, Roger (Fran) Goodman of Carlinville; sister in law, Janice Goodman and brother in law, Russell Naugle.

 

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; siblings, Gene Goodman, Zelma Naugle, Lee Goodman; sister in law and brother in law, Eleanor and Don Gilliatt.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at the funeral home at 12 p.m.  Burial will be at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Carlinville.
