North Mac Holds ‘End of Season’ Spring Sports’ Award Banquets

The North Mac High School baseball, girls’ soccer and track teams recently held their ‘end of season’ award banquets.

Boys’ track

Boys’ track awards were presented to:

Payne McLean – Charlie Pohlman Leadership Award;

Carson Powell – Field Event MVP;

Kadin Casey – Colby Rhuede Sportsmanship Award;

Jack Kallenbach – Utility MVP;

Keegan Miller – Sprint MVP;

Eli Kraus – Distance MVP.

Girls’ track

The girls’ track team, which brought home Macoupin County, South Central, sectional and state medals, recognized:

Myla Osborne – Distance MVP;

Emma Crawford – Team MVP;

Abby Dearing – Utility MVP;

Lakin Whited – Sprint MVP;

Jersey West and Addison Benson – Panther Award;

Brittnee Lange – Field Event MVP.

Baseball

Awards were presented to the following members of North Mac’s regional championship-winning baseball team:

Quinn Morrow – Best ERA and 3rd Team All-Conference Pitcher;

Nolan Fester – Most Improved;

Collin Etter – Co Best Defense and 2nd Team All-Conference;

Tripp Ford – Charlie Hustle Award;

Andrew Scroggins – Most RBI;

Camden Earley – Highest Batting Average;

Aiden Hatalla – Co Best Defense and 1st Team All-Conference;

Luke Alexander – 2nd Team All Conference.

The team MVP award was presented to all of the boys.

Girls’ soccer

In addition to honoring All-Conference member, All-Sectional award recipient and team MVP Trinity Swick, the North Mac soccer team presented these other awards:

Honorable Mention – Carla Nogueroles

All-Academic – Gabby Montgomery

All-Sportsmanship – Faith Elston

Most Improved – Madi White

Rising Star – Maggie Hawkins

Panthers Award – Emilie Tolbert
