Patrick Wayne Beard

Patrick “Pat” Wayne Beard, 59, of Standard City, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville.

Pat was born on May 22, 1965, in Carlinville, a son of James William and Sandra Kay Kohart Beard.

Pat attended Carlinville Schools.

He married Julie Stover, in 2018 and they were later divorced.

Pat worked at Rathgeb and had many other skills as well such as the farm work he did in Nilwood Township and the many miles driven as a truck driver.

He raised chickens and pigs and carefully tended to his garden. With all of the work spent on his garden there was a lot of canning to do for everything he produced.

Pat is survived by his companion, Julie Beard of Standard City; sons, Alan Jones of Edinburg, Timmy Jones, Christian Beard of Carlinville, Jesse Beard of Carlinville; daughter, Hannah Beard of Carlinville; sister, Suzan Attchinson of Springfield; half sister, Katrina Carney Ericks; brothers, Richard Walden of FL, Albert “Buggs” Walden of Carlinville, Charles Beard of Virden, Terry Beard of Springfield, Andrew Walden of Standard City and James Beard of Standard City.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Beard; brother, David Buus and sister-in-law, Carol Marie Beard.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 1 pm, Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025 at Bethel Ridge Cemetery.

Burial will follow in Bethel Ridge Cemetery, Carlinville.
