Andrea Jean Bendorf

Andrea Jean (Branson) Bendorf, 32, of Divernon, formerly of Carlinville, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at Broadwell Township in Logan County.
Andrea was born on March 19, 1992, in Centreville, a daughter of James Robert Jr. and Sara (Smith) Branson.
Andrea graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 2010. She attended Lewis and Clark Community College and CALC where she received her LPN certificate.
She married Geoffrey Bendorf, on Sept. 19, 2020 at the Anderson Mansion in Carlinville.
Andrea was a well loved and respected LPN nurse. She started her caretaker journey at Carlinville Rehab and Health Care as a nurses aid then she worked in the kitchen before becoming a LPN. She work at many places like Heritage Nursing Home in Carlinville, Centennial Point Senior Living as the director of nursing, and the Sangamon County jail as a nurse, before her most current role as LPN nurse for Lincoln County Correctional Center in Lincoln.
She had many passions in life and enjoyed making crafts and t-shirts, spending time outdoors, camping and mudding in her Jeep. More than anything else Andrea’s biggest passion in life was taking care of others.
Andrea is survived by her husband, Geoffrey Bendorf of Divernon; father, Bob Branson of Carlinville; mother, Sara Branson of Springfield; grandmother, Donna Smith of Springfield; sisters, Elaina Branson of Divernon, Stephanie (Todd) Thompson of Ocala, FL; brother, Cody (Lisa) Branson of Carlinville; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Andrea was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Robert Branson, Sr.; grandmother, Sharon Branson; grandfather, David Smith and aunt, Brittany Guyer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, 4 to 7 pm at Cross Church, Carlinville.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 am, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 at Cross Church, Carlinville.
Burial will follow in Chatham Cemetery, Chatham.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Carlinville Senior Citizen Center.
