Clayton A. Hammann

Clayton A. Hammann, 82, of Gillespie, passed away at his residence on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 at 10:32 p.m.

He was born October 19, 1942, in Brushy Mound Twp, to Walter G. Hammann and Cecil F. Wills Hammann.

Clayton was a graduate of Gillespie High School Class of 1960.  He was a farmer.

He is survived by his children, Javonne Harbaugh of Gillespie, Mark Hammann of Carlinville, step children, Pamela Russell of Carlinville, Robert (Dawn) Russell of Arnold, MO; 23 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and sister, Erlyn Hutton of Carlinville.

Clayton was preceded in death by his parents; son, Leo Hammann; brother, Gerald Hammann and sister, Edna Pasquale.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Gillespie.
