Carlinville football and volleyball teams hold award banquets

Last week, the Carlinville High School football and volleyball Cavaliers wrapped up their fall sports’ season with a team dinner and awards’ banquet.

Football

Varsity team awards were presented to Cash Enrietta (Scout Team Player), Tate Duckels (Co-Most Valuable Defensive Back), Triston Thompson (Co-Most Valuable Defensive Back & Most Valuable Wide Receiver/Tight End), Noah Byots (Team MVP & Special Teams Player), Nate Dyer (Most Valuable Offensive Running Back), Mason Wise (Most Valuable Defensive Linebacker), Weston Kuykendall (Most Valuable Offensive Lineman), Ronald LaPlante (Most Valuable Defensive Lineman) and Konner Costello (Most Improved).

Ridge Regan (Most Valuable Defensive Player), Connor Rice (Most Valuable Offensive Lineman) and Cash Enrietta (Most Valuable Offensive Player) received junior varsity awards.

Corbin Walton (Most Valuable Defensive Player) and Joel White (Most Valuable Offensive Player) were honored with freshmen awards.

Volleyball

At the volleyball banquet, awards were presented to Ruthie Reels (JV Player of the Year); Braley Wiser (Gamechanger); Isabella Tiburzi (Coach’s Award and MVP); Addison Ruyle (Coach’s Award); Hannah Gibson (Offensive Player and 110%); Chloe Pope (110%); Taylor Brandenburg and Madeline Murphy (Most Improved Players); Jordyn Loveless (Offensive Player); and Makenah Dugan (Defensive Player).
