Stanley B. Scoggins

Stanley B. Scoggins, 89, of Carlinville, passed away at St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024 at 5:07 a.m.

He was born Jan. 21, 1935, in Jerseyville, to Lumie Scoggins and Juanita Shaw Scoggins.

He married Patsy Goodman Scoggins on Nov. 8, 1958 in Creve Coeur.

He was a truck driver.

Stanley enjoyed cars and motorcycles.

He is survived by his spouse, Patsy Scoggins of Carlinville; daughter, Patti (Mike) Janssen of Carlinville; grandchildren, Tara (Justin) Snyder, Faron (Joseph) Bomkamp; great-grandchildren, Henley Bomkamp, Addley Bomkamp, Kora Snyder and Londyn Snyder.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Eleanor Gilliatt.

Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024 at  Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie.  Burial was at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Carlinville.
