Michael Joe Stewart

Michael Joe Stewart, 69, of Benld, passed away at his residence in Benld, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 5:30 a.m.

He was born Feb. 22, 1955, in Staunton, to Jack Stewart and Pauline (Montgomery) Stewart.

He married Terri Tomso on Nov. 12, 2000 in Gatlinburg, TN.

He worked for the railway.

He enjoyed his music, cooking and was a man of faith.

He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles’ and Cardinals’ fan.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Stewart of Benld; daughter, Jennifer Jo Stewart of Gillespie; grandson, Nicholas Joseph Willis of Repentigny, Quebec, Canada; brother, Jim Stewart Livingston; sisters, Patti Hicken of Mt. Olive, Bonnie Stewart of Gillespie; mother-in-law, Norma Tomso of Mt. Olive and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dale Stewart, Wayne Stewart; step mom, Lois Stewart; father-in-law, Ted Tomso and niece, Layla Stewart.

Services were held on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie with Derrick Taylor officiating.
