Joseph John Zimmerman

Joseph John Zimmerman, 56, of Gillespie, passed away at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 5:25 p.m.

He was born May 9, 1965, in Granite City, to Joseph Frank Zimmerman and Irene Byrd Zimmerman.

He was a factory laborer.  Joseph was a veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by his mother, Irene Zimmerman of Gillespie; siblings, Earl Zimmerman of Meadowbrook, Thomas Zimmerman of Gillespie, Tammy Dunn of Glen Carbon and Janell Zimmerman of Gillespie.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father and brother, Neal Zimmerman.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 10:30-11 a.m.  Funeral services are Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie.

Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie.
