Mildred B. Wallis

Mildred B. Wallis, 83, of Shipman passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Carlinville Rehab and Health.

She was born Feb. 17, 1943, in Irvington, the daughter of Fred and Bernice Walker Korte.

She married Carl Wallis, June 28, 1961, in Carlinville.

Surviving is a daughter, Carla (Chris) Tepen; grandchildren, Michael J. (Amy Beth) Wallis, Krysten (Dustin) Clark, Carrie (Patrick) Taylor, Cody (Frankie) Tepen, Andrew Wallis, Michelyn Wallis and Rebecca (Jay) Beckmeyer; great grandchildren, Devon and Aiden Iler, Carter and Nolan Taylor, Aiden and Everlee Wallis, Titus Clark, Austin and Aaron Tepen, Maizie Beck, Jude, Ambrose and JoAnna Beckmeyer and brother, Charles Korte. She was preceded in death by son, Michael D, Wallis and sisters, Dorothy Anspaugh and Helen Goodwin.

Mildred worked 13 years at Carlin-Villa Motel in Carlinville and enjoyed babysitting.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Richwood Cemetery near Roodhouse. Daws Family Funeral Home in Roodhouse is in charge of arrangements.
