CHS presents winter sports’ awards

The Carlinville High School winter sports’ teams were recently recognized at their end-of-season award banquets.
Boys’ basketball
The CHS boys’ basketball banquet featured awards from the last two seasons.
Dominic Alepra received several honors, including the Free Throw Award and Most Valuable Player for 2024 and 2025. Alepra also received Second Team All-South Central Conference honors and was presented with a plaque for scoring over 1,000 career points.
Sawyer Smith received the Most Improved Player award for last season. Tate Duckels received the Most Improved Player award for this season. Triston Thompson received the award for Charges Taken for the 23-24 season.
Girls’ basketball
At the CHS girls’ basketball banquet, Isabella Tiburzi, Braley Wiser, Hannah Gibson and Jordyn Loveless were each presented with varsity awards.
Additionally, the Cavaliers recognized Kaitlyn Reels for her school record in three-pointers and Ruthie Reels as the Junior Varsity Player of the Year.

Wrestling
At the CHS wrestling banquet, Samantha Scott and Ronald LaPlante were honored as the MVPs.
Lara Antaloczy and Austin Homer both received Bill Shreve Effort awards.
Ridge Regan was recognized as a recipient of the 110% Award.
