Patricia “Pat” Anne Traylor

 

Patricia “Pat” Anne Traylor, 81, of Atwater, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on June 9, 2026.

 

Pat was born on September 2, 1944, in Springfield, Illinois, to Elmer Eugene and Mary Agnes (Clarke) McAnarney.

 

She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy with the Class of 1962 and later worked for the Birth to Three Clearing House in Springfield.

 

On July 25, 1964, Pat married Charles “Ed” Traylor.

 

Pat found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, tending to her yard and garden, and shopping. Her beloved cat, Charlie, was a cherished companion who brought her much comfort and joy.

 

Pat is survived by her daughters, Lori (Kyle Wilson) Traylor of Knoxville, Tennessee, Angie Traylor of Atwater; her grandchildren, Kelsey Hickman (fiancé Corbin Cagle) and Luke Hickman, both of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Mary Katherine “Kate” (Paul) McLean of Chesterfield, Missouri; brothers-in-law Rick Nemeth of California and Mike Nemeth of Idaho; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her parents, Elmer and Mary Agnes McAnarney; her brother, Howard McAnarney; her sisters, Barbara Jacobs and Monica McAnarney; and her in-laws, Dorthea Anderson and Gary Nemeth.

 

In accordance with Pat’s wishes, a private family Memorial Mass will be held. Pat and Ed will be laid to rest together at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Atwater.
