James R. “Bob” Reid

James R. “Bob” Reid, 79, of Shipman, IL, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 5, 2026.

He was born December 29, 1946, in Litchfield, IL to James Reid and Lillian Ellen Ray Reid.

Bob married Patricia Sue “Pat” (Bates) Reid on April 26, 1969 in Litchfield, IL.  She preceded him in death on September 11, 2021.

He was a retired air compressor sales rep.

Bob enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his sons, James R. “Jim” (Lisa) Reid of Shipman, IL, Gerald “Jerry” (Jodie) Reid of Wilsonville, IL; grandchildren, Kyle (Sidney) Reid, Tyler Reid, Ryan Reid (Bailey Dykes), Cara (C.J.) Watters, Sam Reid, Joe Reid; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Watters, Tatum Watters and a great grandson expected in a month.

James was preceded in death by his parents and spouse.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 10 to 12 pm.

Funeral services are Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 12:00 pm at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie.

Burial will be at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Litchfield, IL.

Memorials are suggested to Gillespie Benld Area Ambulance Service or Partnership For Educational Excellence District.
