Karen Marie Archibald

 

Karen Marie Archibald, 74 of Carlinville, passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at her home in Carlinville.

 

Karen was born August 11, 1951, in Litchfield, a daughter of James and Gladys (Jones) Archibald.

 

Karen graduated from Gillespie High School with the class of 1969.

 

She later attended beauty school and secretarial school in Chatham.

 

Karen married Gary “Gabe” Karrick of Carlinville two times, and later divorced.

 

Karen was employed as a office manager for the State of Illinois Dept of Public Health.

 

She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and AFSCME Union.

 

She had been a beautician in Carlinville, working for Chris Nejmanowski.  Karen loved to shop.

 

Karen is survived by her brother, Terry (Cindy) Archibald of Carlinville; godson, Carter Chapman of IL; sister in law, Angela Archibald; several nieces and nephews.

 

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Archibald and sister, Jean Snyder.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, 12 to 2 p.m .at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville.

 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville.

 

Burial will follow in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Carlinville.
