The Gillespie boys basketball team lost 56-30 to Lincolnwood last Tuesday to remain winless.

Lincolnwood led 14-6 after one quarter. Lincolnwood outscored Gillespie 12-6 in the second quarter to extend its lead to 26-12 at halftime. Lincolnwood outscored Gillespie 17-8 in the third quarter to take a 43-20 lead. Lincolnwood outscored Gillespie 13-10 in the final quarter to come away with a 26-point win.

Gillespie girls basketball defeated Southwestern 40-24 last Monday. Gillespie led 8-5 after one quarter. Gillespie nearly held Southwestern scoreless in the second quarter as they outscored Southwestern 11-1 to take a 19-6 halftime lead. Gillespie extended its lead further to 34-12 by outscoring Southwestern 15-6 in the third quarter. Southwestern won the fourth quarter 12-6 for Gillespie to come away with the 16-point win.
