Barry Rhodes

Barry Rhodes, 78, of Gillespie, IL, died at his residence on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 7:21 p.m.

He was born September 30, 1947, in Carlinville, IL to Clifford Earl Rhodes & Laura Sanderson Rhodes.

He was retired after having worked in maintenance for Schutt Manufacturing.

He was a veteran of the US Army.

Barry enjoyed restoring older cars and flying rc planes.

He is survived by his children, Barry (Missy) Rhodes of Benld, IL, William  Rhodes of Litchfield, IL, Terry (companion, Lisa Bertolis) Rhodes of Staunton, IL; grandchildren, Matthew Rhodes, Kristopher Rhodes, Amanda Mathis, Caitlyn Adams, Eric Hankins, Joseph Jarrett, Megan Lack; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Gerald (Gloria) Rhodes of Huntsville, AL, Les Rhodes of Staunton, IL, Dennis Rhodes of Carlinville, IL.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald Rhodes, Jimmydean Rhodes.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at  Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
