Ten Macoupin County athletes named to South Central All-Conference boys’ basketball team

Ten Macoupin County athletes were named to this year’s South Central All-Conference boys’ basketball team.
The Staunton duo of Ethan Sharp and Isiah Laux headlined the roster as first team members alongside Southwestern’s Ian Brantley. Cale Ackerman of Greenville, Nathan Matoush of Hillsboro and Wade Brannon of Vandalia also received first team honors.
Dominic Alepra (Carlinville), Bryce Coalson (Staunton) and Ryan Lowis (Southwestern) made the second team, as well as Andrew Casey of Vandalia, Cash Lynch of Pana, Nate Schaake of Litchfield and Nolan Tabor of Greenville.
Luke Alexander received all-SCC honors as a freshman for North Mac on the third team, which additionally consisted of Collin Etter (North Mac), Jack Kaylor (Gillespie) and Aaron Bodner (Staunton). Other third team honorees included Madyx Angel of Pana and Brayden Ronco of Litchfield.
