North Mac Middle School wrestling sectional qualifiers were, from left, Owen McDaniel 126 lb – third place; Madison Brewer 155 lb – second place; Jett Fenton 80 lb – first place; Rylee Peterson 167 lb – second place and Carter Vanhuss 145 lb – third place.
North Mac Middle School had their first ever season of IESA Wrestling with five students advancing to sectionals, and one becoming a state qualifier. Coach Allen Michel is also in his first year with North Mac. Coach Michel is a former DII national qualifier and top-10 finisher while attending New Mexico Highland University.
Coach Michel and fourth place state qualifier, six grader Jett Fenton who will be representing North Mac Middle School this weekend March 7 and March 8 at the ISEA 2025 State Tournament at NIU in Dekalb.
