Paul George Goldasich Jr.

Paul George Goldasich Jr, 68, of Mount Olive, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025 at 1:17 a.m.

He was born April 4, 1956, in Granite City, to Paul George Goldasich Sr and Margaret Gazo Goldasich.

He married Tonya J. Spencer Goldasich in 1992 in Carlinville.

He was a retired sergeant for the Macoupin County Sheriff’s Department.  Paul was also a helicopter pilot, firearms instructor and armorer.

He was a former Mt Olive Firefighter as well as a Tamburitzans member and NRA member.

Paul was trustee of the Litchfield Southern Baptist Church.

He is survived by his spouse, Tonya Goldasich of Mt Olive; brother, Jim Goldasich of Staunton; sister in law, Rachel Greer of Gillespie and brother in law, LeMonte (Cathy) Spencer of Morton.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were held on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025 at the Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld.  Burial was at Chapman Cemetery, Mt. Olive.

Memorials are suggested to Litchfield Southern Baptist Church, Staunton High School Trap Shooters, Bunker Hill High School Trap Shooters, Southwestern High School Trap Shooters or Carlinville Clay Busters.
