Beverly Leigh Gray

Beverly Leigh Gray, 75, of Girard, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 4, 2024, at her home in Girard.
Beverly was born Aug. 16, 1949, in Springfield, a daughter of Albert Paul “A.P.” and Jennie Leigh Bruce Crawford.
Beverly graduated from Girard High School with the class of 1967.
She married Morris Gray, July 21, 1968, at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.
She was well known for her many years at the Casey’s General Store in Virden.
She loved the outdoors and you would always find her at the lake. There was never a bad day to go fishing. The tales of her fishing endeavors would fill a novel. She also loved a weed free yard.
Beverly was also an avid artist who loved to cross stitch. She would also recite poetry with great character. You’d also find her in her recliner watching TLC and the latest episode of Survivor.
Beverly was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist church in Girard. She loved Jesus and her family.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Morris L. Gray of Girard; daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Link of Walker, LA, son, Keith (Linda) Gray of Carlinville, daughter, Vicki (Matthew) Bunn of Bolivar, MO; grandchildren, Devan Gray, DeAndre Ross, Aaron Link, Heaven Link, Calvin Link, Ezekiel Gray, Cora (Andrew) Gill, Clara Gray, Andrew Bunn, Toby Bunn, Logan Bunn; six great grandchildren; sister, Betty Reily of Lewisville, TX, brother, Larry Crawford of Girard, brother, David (Linda) Crawford of Girard, sister, Brenda (Brian) Solomon of Modesto, brother, Donald (Jill) Crawford of Girard, brother, Stanley (Shay) Crawford of Girard; many nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Bruce Paul Crawford.
Visitation was held on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard.
Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, Girard.
Burial followed in Bull Austif Cemetery, Franklin.
