James Allen Stutsman

James Allen Stutsman, 71, formerly of Carlinville, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6 at Mercy Hospital in Rodgers, AR after a brief illness.

Jim was born in Carlinville, Nov. 17, 1952 to Dan Stutsman and Melba Stutsman Decker.

Jim attended Carlinville schools were he played football and pole vaulted and later earned an Associates in Science Degree.

Jim served our country in the Army and spent time in Turkey. After his military tour he married Debbie and they lived in Arkansas together for 40 years.

Jim retired from Newly Weds Foods, as a maintenance manager. He enjoyed traveling, hiking and bird watching.

He is survived by his son Travis Allen (Michelle) Stutsman; sisters Joy (Jake) Copple of Standard City, Kay (Mike) Moore of Plainview; half sister, Edith Taylor of Chatham; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie; parents Dan Stutsman, Melba Stutsman Decker and brother, Richard Stutsman.

Private services were held in Rodgers, AR.
