Sharon A. Harris


Sharon A. Harris, 61, of Carlinville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, at her home in Carlinville.

Sharon was born Sept. 6, 1962, in Canton, a daughter of Brady Franklin Williams and  LaNeta Williams.

She attended high school in Litchfield.

She married Larry “Cowboy” Harris on  Feb. 23, 2001, in  Jasper, TX.

Sharon had been employed as a cashier for Mobil-Exxon in Palmer, TX and as a data entry clerk for Accu-Data in Carlinville.
She liked to spend her time crocheting, playing Yahtzee, rummy, and poker. She was an avid watcher of the Price is Right and the Young and the Restless.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Gary) Slater of Ormond Beach, FL, daughter, Cassaundra (Corey) Beswarick of Taylorville, son, Kyle (Cortney) Michael of Tool, TX, daughter, Karen  (Companion Dalton Runge) Williams of Carlinville; 13 grandchildren, and  two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents;  husband, Larry “Cowboy” Wayne Harris; son, Thomas Brown, and her sister, Karen Gilliand.

A Celebration of Life will be held  at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024  at 612 E Poplar St. in Taylorville.

Memorials may be made  to the family.
