Carlinville School Board tours Primary School; discusses employment

The Carlinville School Board met on Feb. 13 and 14 for its regularly scheduled meeting and a special session with Aladdin Property consultant Frank Miles. The Feb. 13 meeting was held at the Carlinville Primary School where a tour of the building was held afterward.


In matters of employment the board accepted the resignation of Lynne Evans as the Cavalette Coach, Robyn Holliday as the Accounts Payable Assistant, Jim Roth as the Transportation Director, Dave Griffiths as the non-CBA Middle School Baseball Coach and Heather Heater as the non-CBA Middle School Softball Coach.

The board also approved the employment of Max Rogers as the CMS Boys’ Track Coach, Whitney Albert as a school nurse, Don Borgini as the CHS Varsity Baseball Coach, Julie Gibson as the CHS Varsity Softball Coach and Stephanie Duncan and Jason Crowell as High Impact Tutors.

Other Business

The board approved a the contract for Loy Miller Talley PC to conduct the Fiscal Year 2023 Financial Audit.

A motion to accept the bus bid from MidWest Transit for $152,711 was approved.

The Board approved a two year contract with Mansfield Energy for six months fixed and the other 18 months to float with an adder of .046 on NGI until rate is locked in.

During the special meeting on Feb. 14, board members present took a tour of the Aladdin property with Frank Miles. No other business was discussed.
