HS wrestling: Carlinville picks up three dual wins

The Carlinville High School wrestling team recently seized three dual victories over a four-match stretch, with three Cavaliers leading the charge with perfect individual records against Decatur Eisenhower, Taylorville, Illinois United and Riverton.

Overall, all of the CHS representatives added at least one match triumph to their respective win columns.

Blake Pruitt, Ronald LaPlante and Nicole Stanly went 4-0, propelling a gritty nine-man CHS squad.

Ridge Regan (2-2), Ryder Powers (2-2) and Austin Homer (2-0) also claimed multiple wins.

Daniel Eichen (1-1), Samantha Scott (1-1) and Curtis Killim (1-3) rounded out the Cavaliers’ attack.

Carlinville continued its season Jan. 9 at East Alton Wood River/Vandalia and Jan. 10 at Pittsfield/Hillsboro.

The Cavaliers take to the home mats at CHS versus Jerseyville and Metro East Lutheran Mon., Jan. 15. Matches begin at 6 p.m.
