Jon Albert Trask, 73, of Huachuca City, AZ, passed away on Nov. 23, 2023.
Jon was born in Illinois on Aug. 16, 1950 to the late Albert Trask and Eleanor (Spudich) Trask.
Jon attended Gillespie High School and furthered his education at Lewis and Clark Community College and Cochise College. He proudly served in the Army for over six years, demonstrating his dedication and commitment to his country.
Jon had a dry sense of humor that took some getting used to, but he was a generous man and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a deep commitment to his family and cherished his relationships with his loved ones.
Jon is survived by his sister Jacqueline (Richard) Johnson of North Haven, CT; daughters, Missy (David) Shelton of Carlinville, Patricia Wallace of Joliet; grandchildren, Ashlee (Herve) Munyakazi, Austin Shelton, Justin Wallace, and Quentin (Parker) Wallace; three great-grandchildren and awaiting the arrival of his fourth; several nieces and a nephew.
Jon was preceded in death by his son, John Albert Michael Trask.
Per his wishes, Jon will be cremated and a private graveside service will be held at Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Hatfield Funeral Home in Sierra Vista, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Build Benld, Jon’s childhood home, and the Sierra Vista Library. These organizations held a special place in his heart.
