Lois E. Sanders

 

Lois E. Sanders, 102, of Perryville, MO passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital.

She was born July 18, 1920 in Carlinville, to Ralph and Hester (Ward) Wheeler. Lois and Charles H. Sanders were married Dec. 25, 1941 at Carlinville. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 2001.

She was legal secretary. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Perry County Concert Association. She played the organ/piano at Our Lady of Victory Church in Sereno and at Independence Court.

She was survived by sons, Charles H. (Christine) Sanders, Jr. of O’Fallon, MO, Russell (Gloria) Sanders of Jacksonville, MS; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Richard Sanders; sister, Roberta Lindahl and brother, Marshall R. Wheeler.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Ford & Young Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald McBride officiating. Burial will be at Home Cemetery in Perryville.

Memorial contributions may be given to Perry County Concert Association or Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
