Flora L. “Flo” Clark

 

Flora L. “Flo” Clark, 96, of Gillespie, passed away at St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, on Jan. 5, 2023 at 5:34 a.m.

She was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Mt. Vernon, IN to Elmer Green and Esther Bradley Green.  She married Donald R. Clark on May 24, 1947 in Gillespie.  He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2012.

She was a homemaker.  Flora was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, United Methodist K Group where she was also communion steward 37 years and she was also in charge of getting acolytes for services.

She was a member of Tops.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and square dancing with Calico Twirlers and Kuntry Kuzins.

She is survived by her children, Donald (Paula) Clark Jr. of Staunton, Elaine (Mike) Hailstone of Gillespie, Patty Tiburzi of Sawyerville; grandchildren, Amy (Paul) Hailstone, Chris (Jenny) Hailstone, Stephanie (Jeff) White, Craig (Michelle) Tiburzi, Tara (Chad) Blankenship, Whitney (Brad) Curtis, Jaime (Kyle) Montgomery, bonus granddaughter, Heather; great grandchildren, Cameron, Carson, Sophia, Madilyn, Ayden, Izabella, Aria, Owen, Griffin, Natali, Landon Ava, Reese and Emma.

Flora was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; granddaughter, Randi Clark; son in law, Jim Tiburzi; sisters, Blanche, Hazel; brothers, Lloyd, and Bob.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and funeral services starting at 1 p.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie.

Burial will be at Gillespie Cemetery, Gillespie.

Memorials are suggested to Partnership For Educational Excellence District #7 or United Methodist Church of Gillespie.
