Sharon Kay Peterson

Sharon Kay Peterson, 80, of Gillespie, passed away at Heritage Health of Gillespie, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 3 p.m.

She was born August 24, 1941, in Belleville, to Arnold McDaniel and Lillian Vogt McDaniel.

She married Loraine “Pete” Peterson on Sept. 8, 1962 in Columbia.

She was a receptionist for Liese Lumber Co, Belleville.

She is survived by her husband, Loraine “Pete” Peterson of Gillespie; children, Monica (Bradley) Lemke of Staunton, Darrin “Pete” (Jennifer) Peterson of Gillespie, Greta (Deron) Stein of St. Jacob, Shanna (Kevin) Sullivan of Belleville; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Elaine Cook and brother in law, Robert Werner.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Eli Peterson; sister, Charlotte Werner and brother in law, Paul Cook.

Private family services will be held.
