Carol Helen Pinson

 

Carol Helen Pinson, 81, of Benld, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Breese, on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 7:53 a.m.

She was born July 22, 1940, in Carlinville to Charles Rutherford and Helen Bernice (Bradford) Rutherford.

She married Homer Gene Pinson on Sept. 20, 1958 in Alton.  He preceded her in death in April 2019.

She was owner for Shaklee Distributors for 40 years.

Carol was a former member of the Bell Choir, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Hamel and ladies auxiliary American Legion Post 564 of Worden.

She is survived by her children, Michael D. (Kristine) Pinson of Worden, Michelle D. Whitehead of Decatur, Martin D. (Cindy) Pinson of St. Louis, Melissa (Tim) Trame of Breese; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ashton, Wyatt, Jacob, Rachel, Blake, Taylor, Brett; siblings, Sandy (Bob) Brueggeman of Plainview, Charles “Boots” (Bev) Rutherford of Meadowbrook, T. J. (Denise) Rutherford of Carterville, Penny (Clay) Wilson of Bluff City, and Curt Rutherford of Benld.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; brother, Carl Rutherford; sisters, Judy Boden and Janice Gunning.
